Gesäuse: Epic Mountain Scenery in the Heart of Austria

September 25, 2026 - September 27, 2026

4 to 6 Participants

Immerse yourself in the stunning nature of Gesäuse National Park and enhance your photography skills during an intensive two-day workshop in one of Austria's most picturesque regions. As an experienced photographer, I invite you to discover the breathtaking alpine landscapes in a small group and transform them into impressive images.

What to Expect?

Our photography journey will take us to the Klinker Hut in the Gesäuse, a perfect base for our daily adventures. The accommodation, located near the historic town of Admont, provides access to the majestic Enns Valley and the surrounding peaks of the national park.

This workshop requires a willingness to explore nature on foot. One night will be spent outdoors, capturing the clear starry sky, mesmerizing sunsets, and awe-inspiring sunrises amid the dramatic mountain backdrop. During the day, we’ll take the time to rest and prepare for the next photographic opportunities.

Flexible Daily Programs

Each day will be planned flexibly, based on current weather and lighting conditions, ensuring we make the most of every moment. We will focus on areas such as Admonter Kalbling and Sparafeld, offering incredible panoramic mountain views and inspiring photo opportunities. These unique locations will spark your creativity and result in unforgettable images.

Who Is This Workshop For?

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced photographer, this workshop offers something for everyone. In a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere, I will share the secrets of landscape photography—from mastering light and composition to post-processing your images.

Ample time will be provided for personalized guidance and hands-on exercises, helping you take your photography skills to the next level.

However, the workshop does require a good level of physical fitness, as hiking and spending one night outdoors are part of the experience. Be ready to embrace the challenges of nature, as it can be demanding.

The small group dynamic encourages learning and creativity, allowing us to share experiences and inspiration. Together, we will explore the breathtaking landscapes of the Gesäuse and capture unforgettable moments.

The program is flexible and will adapt to weather conditions to maximize the potential of each location. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere ensures a memorable and inspiring experience. After a day outdoors, there will be time to review your photos and discuss them within the group. However, since we’ll primarily be in the mountains, bringing a laptop is not recommended.

What Photography Level Is Required?

This workshop is open to photographers of all skill levels, from beginners to professionals. You should know your camera and understand its basic functions. The focus is on enjoying photography and sharing experiences with the group, rather than on technical expertise.
