This intensive workshop will help you capture breathtaking images of the night sky, taking your photography skills to the next level.
What to expect?
Our workshop takes us to the picturesque Almsee in the Salzkammergut, a place of extraordinary beauty that is particularly well-suited for Milky Way photography. The Almsee provides a unique setting to photograph both the Milky Way and its reflection in the lake.
In this workshop, we will focus on the specific techniques of Milky Way photography—from handling your camera in low-light conditions to exposure times and creating stunning long-exposure shots. We’ll also emphasize image composition to harmoniously capture the mystical beauty of the night sky and the nature of the Salzkammergut region.
Who is This Workshop for?
This workshop is designed for anyone interested in Milky Way photography, regardless of experience level. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced photographer, I will ensure you receive personalized guidance to improve your photography skills. In a small, relaxed group, there will be plenty of time for individual questions and hands-on practice. You should be prepared to spend several hours outdoors at night, potentially until sunrise.

Itinerary
In Christoph Stoll's photography workshop, you’ll visit the most beautiful photo spots in a small group of like-minded individuals. With no stress or time pressure, you can fully focus on photography. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings and explore new subjects. The intimate atmosphere ensures a relaxed and unforgettable experience.
Christoph will be there to assist you with any questions or challenges, allowing you to focus entirely on photography. If Milky Way photography is not possible due to bad weather, an alternative date will be arranged.
Group Size
The group size is limited to 4 to 6 participants. Small groups are intentionally chosen to ensure a friendly and flexible atmosphere. This allows for adjustments based on weather and more time to spend at each photo spot.
Is There Time for Photo Editing?
Since we’ll primarily be outdoors, bringing a laptop is not recommended.
What Photography Level Is Required?
Participants of all levels, from beginners to professionals, are welcome. It is expected that you are familiar with your camera and understand its basic functions. The focus is on enjoying photography and exchanging ideas within the group, rather than on technical expertise.
